This beauty of a mouthpiece was produced in response to the tunable necks that were found on their altos and C melodies, I believe. Since the goose like neck on the tenor posed a problem to add the micro-tuner, they put it on this mouthpiece instead. At least that is what I have gathered from the research I have done. Its in mint condition and its original facing, a 1**, adn the mechanism works like a charm. I used a 5 RW reed, and it was really easy to play.
